Complejo de Acción Social por la Música

[Complejo Internacional de Acción Social por la Música Simón Boulevard – CIASMSB]

Competition done while working at Urban Think-Tank (UT-T) in Caracas, Venezuela in 2010. The goal of the project was to design a building expansion for the existing Complejo de Acción Social por la Música (CASM) located in the Venezuelan capital. The proposal developed by the UT-T team was to create a connective building able to unify its surroundings and locals through public spaces, a café and a media lab. The building also connected with the metro stop, the Los Caobos park and Amador Bendayan Boulevard. This connection was made by designing a huge open patio below the atrium formed from the distance between the two main auditorium building volumes. The classrooms were all placed on the upper floors. We were awarded Second Place.
